CLAIMS BY AGENTS SUCCEED FALSE REPRESENTATIONS MADE. WELLINGTON COURT’S DECISION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 22. In his reserved judgment in the Alecca oil ease Air. E. Page, S.M., held that the transactions with the agents were entered into on the false representations of Pimentel, as being an accredited representative of a company in America. Ho called it the Alccea Company and stated that it owned its own oil wells and refinery. hi view of the fact that criminal proceedings were pending against Pimentel Mr. did not think it desirable to discuss °the matter further. He gave judgment for the amounts claimed— Wakefield £245 17s 3d, Begg £179 30s, and Wimsett £94 6s Id,, with costs in each case. Counsel for plaintiffs said that under a section of the Magistrate’s , Court Act he had filed notice yesterday that he required Pimentel to be examined forthwith as to any debts accruing or due to him, with the idea of taking attachment proceedings on any such debts.
