GENERAL ITEMS. The football club had a successful euchre party on Monday evening in St. Patrick’s Hall. The financial result was about £ll profit. The winners were: Miss Wickers, first and winner of lucky ticket; Mrs. R. Malcolm second; Mr. P. Twoman first and Mr. J. Crofskey second. The winners of competitions wore Mr. L. Whiting and Mr. D. Richards. The committee in charge of arrangements was Mesdames R. McCullum, S. Hickey, J. Hickey, S. Feaver and Mr. J. S. Dudley. About £8 profit was made by the Anglican ladies’ guild in holding a shop day mart on Saturday. The proceeds were in aid of the hall funds. In the third grade football competitions on Wednesday High School Old Boys defeated Rahotu by 21 points to nil. The game was played on the Opunake grounds. At Piliama Opunake defeated Pihama by 6 points to nil. High School is leading in the competition, being two points in front of Opunake.
