Gisborne, Last Night.

A professional contest between Lou Bloom (America) and Gus Fitzmaurice (Gisborne) came to a termination at the end of the tliird round. Fitzmaurice appeared unable to proceed and complained to the referee that he had been struck low. The referee commenced to count when the gong sounded for the interval. After the interval Fitzmaurice was counted out and on an examination by three medical men it was reported. to the referee that they were unable to find evidence that a foul blow had been struck. Bloom was declared the winner.
