FRANCE ORDERS FLYING BOATS.

(British “Wireless). Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, July 15. The French Government has ordered from Messrs Short Brothers, Rochester, two more “Calcutta” flying boats for the Fench naval air service. The machines, mainly constructed of metal, will each be equipped with three engines of the well-known Bristol-Jupiter pattern. The order is the sequel to an earlier purchase of a Calcutta flying boat, which has given extremely satisfactory service.
