The Southern Cross arrived at Salt Lake City at 8.30 p.m. local time last evening from Chicago. When Wing-Commander Kingsford Smith and his companions arrive at Oakland (California) to-day, the Mayor (Mr. Davie) and the president of the Chamber of Commerce (Mr. Field) will greet the quartette. A parade to the city hall will follow, and in the evening at a banquet each will receive a scroll. The “Flying Anzac” will be presented with a wedding gift. San Francisco will hold a celebration the following day.
