WEDDINGS
FORE MAN-WATSON. A very pretty, wedding was solemnised at'St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, on June 11, when Doris'Evelyn, elder daughter' of Mr. and Airs. W. J. Watson, “Melton Grange,” Brixton, was married to Ronald, only son of Air. and Mrs. G. Foreman. Tikorangi, by Archdeacon Gavin, Air. Renaud officiating at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a charming frock of pale pink georgette made with a plain bodice and long Light fitting sleeves, the full skirt having a deep hemline of silk lace falling longer at the back. The long tulle ’veil, which . was beautifully embroidered. in silver and formed a train, was held in position with peails and clusters of orange blossom. She wore silver shoes and stockings and carried a beautiful bouquet of pink and cream chrysanthemums, cyclamen, and free-, sias* relieved with maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Alisses Lola Liniinei and Edna Sutton, wore pretty frocks of. ciel blue marietta and satin and large hats of beige felt trimmed with velvet. Each wore a rhiiiesonc’ necklet, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a shower bouquet to tone with the frock. Two little girls. Vera Watson (sister of. the bride) , and Norma Todd (niece of. the. bridegroom) acted as flower girls. The}wore frocks of' daffodil crepe de chine with- scalloped ; frills., and cape collars, with tulle head-dresses. . Each wore a gold, armlet, the gift of the bride-, groom, and carried a .Victorian posy of vellow pansies. The bridegroom was attended by Air.* George Stephens as best man and Air. Clem Watson as groomsman.. At .the conclusion of theceremony a reception was held at the Devon tea rooms, where the brides mother received the guests. She woie a gown\of floral, chenille georgette, with hat tn "tone, and carried a bouquet oi autumn tinted flowers'; -.
