FORTY-EIGHT HOURS WEEK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Welington, June 10. The New Zealand Private Hotels Employees’ Award has been filed. It provides for a4B hours’ week. Some minor departures from the expired award have been made on the lines of corresponding provisions in the Lieenecd Hotels Award. The Arbitration Court has not confirmed the reduction of lodgers from 16 to 10, as agreed at the Coneili mon Council, his Honour Mr. Justice Frazer remarking that they could not do so until the person affected had seen properly cited and had bad an opportunity of being heard. Power is reserved by the court to re-open the matter on an application of any party.
