SYDNEY HOLDS A CARNIVAL. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.40 p.m. Sydney, June 9. The King’s Birthday holiday was observed to-day. In a Rugby League football match Queensland defeated New South Wales by 25 points to 11. At Rugby an Australian universities’ combined team of eighteen defeated a New South Wales University fifteen by 18 to 8. At Soccer New South Wales beat Queensland by 4 goals to 3.
