UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER
WARNING FOR AVIATORS SOUTHERN CROSS FLIGHT BETTER REPORT AWAITED By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec.- 6.40 p.m. London, June 8. The Air Ministry’s night report proving unfavourable regarding Atlantic conditions, the Southern Cross, which was waiting, at Curragh in readiness to start to-day waA flown back to Baldonnel. Kingsford Smith has decided to start at 3 o’clock on the morning of receipt of the first encouraging weather report. Dr. Kimball, Federal Meteorologist, of New York, announced that the chart of the North Atlantic indicated that if the Southern Cross departed on its transAtlantic flight within the next 48 hours the machine would encounter much J>ad flying weather, with some danger and a great deal of trouble on the last half ot the flight over the ocean and along the New England coast.
