Anticipating the abrogation of the New Zealand treaty, local importers are filling their warehouses with New Zealand butter. Purchases during April, May and June of 1,490,0001 b, more than for the same period of last year, were received here. None was sent on consignment, ■' Importers declare that the increase is justified by the abnormally late butter season in the: Canadian-prairies and the demand created -for -the New Zealand product.
