STEAMER TAKES SHELTER
CHATHAMS ISLANDS SERVICE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A Christchurch telegram to-day stated that anxiety was' felt for the small steamer Tees, which left Lyttelton for the Chathams on May •28 and had not been reported since. She carried 17 persons, including passengers. The Wellington agents for the Tees, Messrs. Gardiner, Binnie and Halliburton, advise that they have received wireless information that she arrived at the Chathams on Wednesday from Lyttelton. .The delay in her arrival, which caused anxiety at Christchurch as to her safety, was caused by the vessel’s sheltering during heavy weather. The Tees is expected io leave tne Chathams again to-morrow for Lyttelton and V. ellington.
