REMITS UNDER CONSIDERATION. At Thursday’s meeting of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union at Hawera remits to be considered at the next New Zealand conference were discussed. ' It was considered of vital interest that more suitable homes should be provided for women whose health had temporarily broken down. Under the present system such women were sent to a mental asylum, whereas a “half-way” house, provided adequate care and rest were given, would meet requirements.
