TUNNELLERS’ DISPUTE
MEN TO RETURN TO WORK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The dispute that arose between the tunnellers at the north end of the Kotemaori tunnel, on the East Coast railway, and the Public Works Department a few days ago concerning the employment of a man who was once injured on railway construction work arid paid compensation has, it is understood, been settled, but the terms have not been announced. When the trouble first arose pumping operations ceased, and in consequence the tunnel became flooded. It will now be necessary for the tunnel to be freed of water, and it will be two or three days before work can be resumed by the tunnellers.
