GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) There was a fair attendance at the Uruti hall euchre party on Saturday. The prizes were won by Mr. W. Oxenham and Mrs. G. Fulton. Mr. J. Bell and Miss J. Gillespie won the lucky spot prizes. The music for the evening was provided by Mr. W. Jones. The master of ceremonies was Mr. A. Hoskins. The filling at the new bridge has been delayed lately owing to the wet weather, which has made the .road very “greasy” around the store and post office. Very little tar-sealing has been done owing to the wet weather. Miss A. Boyes has returned from Nelson. Mr. F. Weston and Mr. G. Scott are in hospital with appendicitis. Mr. Wilson, Puniho, has arrived in the Uruti district. Mrs. C. Short has arrived home after spending a few days in New Plymouth.
