SAFE ARRIVAL AT KARACHI. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright Rec. 5.5 p.m. " Karachi, May 10. Miss Amy Johnson, who is flying from England to Australia, arrived at Karachi at 4.10 on Saturday afternoon. She said the journey down the Persian Gulf was uneventful except for the terrific heat and the difficulty in landing at Bunder Abbas, where the front strut bolt was broken, but was repaired without trouble. >. *• .Between Aleppo and Bagdad the machine was forced to earth by a gale and a sandstorm; otherwise everything went well. Miss Johnson is 'the guest of the Commisisoner of Sind at Government House to-night. A later message says Miss Johnson . left Karachi at dawn (on Sunday) for Allahabad and Calcutta.
