HAVELOCK HOME DESTROYED
PEOPLE AWAY; NOTHING SAVED.

Hastings, May 3.
A seven-roomed residence, adjoining lona College, Havelock North, and owned and occupied by Selwyn Averill, was burnt to the ground at nine o’clock last night. The occupants were spending the evening with friends, and nothing was saved. The building was a mass of flames before it was. discovered by neighbours. The insurances are not yet available.
