BOARD’S FORMIDABLE TASK.

Over 200 applications for 22 sections in the Kerepeehi block, Hauraki plains, faced the board for two days, men and women coming long distanced in the endeavour to obtain land. The board sat for two days sorting them out. The ballot was held last night, and resulted: Section 18 (84 applicants), Mrs. M. Hill; section 26 (72), C. W. Winder; section 27 (92), A. Strong; section 37 (68), L. J. Benny; section 38 (80), D. A. Hill; section 40 (82), Mrs. H. Clark; section 41 (92), T. Benny; section 42 (104), L. Bennett; section 50 ( 82), Mrs. I. M. Harvey; section 51 (102), 11. V. Taylor, junr.; section 52 (74), H. G. Candy; section 53 (78), A. Murray; section 54 (72), J. Kneebone; section 55 (65), J. C. Finlay; section 43 (75), T. M. Stone; section 44 (82), Mrs. E. E. Burling; section 9 (40), VV. J. Burton; section 45 (46), J. R. Poland; section 46 (50), H. W. West; section 47 (52), W. A. Palmer; section 48 (44), S. W.
