HOUSEHOLDERS" MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A record attendance of 19 householders was present at the annual meeting of the Mangamingi Schoo! Committee, Mr. L. 0. Barnard presiding. A feature of the meeting was the attendance of ladies, the first time for over 20'years. Although so many attended only..five nominations were received for the, new committee, this showing that the work of the old committee, all of whom with the exception of one who did not seek re-election ‘were again nominated, was unanimously appreciated. The chairman’s report showed that good work in the way of improvements and general upkeep had been done. Both the school “account and the. social fund were in credit. Kirk and A, ton. . GENERAL.'AND PERSONAL. The very mild weather and the absence of frosts have been of ft very beneficial nature. There is an abundance of feed and all stock is in the pink of

condition. Although practically all the dairy farmers have gone on to once a day milking, the supply has kept up remarkably well, Mr. F. H. Barnard is. spending a holiday in New Mr. and Mrs. Hardwick-Smith are spending a holiday in the Auckland • district. Mrs. E. Woodley and family have ■ gone to Auckland for a few weeks.
