RUCBV TRIAL AT INGLEWOOD FLASHES IN PATCHY GAME PROBLEMS FOR SELECTOR Tn a patchy game brightened by many flashes of spectacular play, North Taranaki defeated South by 29 points to 11 in a Rugby trial match at Inglewood yesterday. The attendance was not large, and not a great deal of interest was taken in the match, which in the first, spell was rather dull and confined to the forwards, but in the second spell, in spite of the many mistakes made, there was plenty of incident. Clarke could not goal. Johnston was injured in scoring his try, and AVineera replaced him. From a scrum in South territory, C. Brown shot the ball so Owen, the latter stepping neatly through the opposition with a clever cut-in and scoring under the bar. H. W.
