THREAT WITH RUSTY GUN
INCIDENT AT CHINESE LAUNDRY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The police are investigating a case of robbery under threat of violence which is alleged to have occurred at a Chinese laundry at Jcrvois Road, Ponsonby, on Tuesday evening. The occupier of the shop, Wah Lee, states that three men entered and threatened to shoot him unless he gave them money. According to the story of the Chinese, the men engaged him in conversation and then one of them presented a “rustylooking gun” at him. He demanded that the Chinese deliver up the money he had in the shop. “I put up my hands and shut my eyes; I was frightened and told them they could have the money in the till,” stated Wah Lee, in reporting the matter to the police. He stated that the men opened the till and removed the entire contents —about Bs. in silver.
