LOOKING FOR MATCHES
SAMMY SCHACK’S RETURN. “I will give 10 per cent, of my share of the purse to any hospital board in the boxing association’s district who matches me against Donovan or Sarron —Donovan for preference,” said Sammy Schack, the featherweight boxer, who came to New Zealand from Sydney by the Aorangi on Monday morning. Schack told an Auckland Star reporter that he had fought 200 matches all over the world, and had won decisions—2o by the direct route. When he was in New Zealand last he foug it Johnny Leckie in Dunedin, to whom he lost on points. Later he fought Delaney and won on points.' Schack originally came from New York, and has been in Australia a year, having had six fights. These included a match against J. Bowden, whom he knocked out in nine rounds at Broken Hill. He beat H. McGuire at Newcastle, but lost to “Bluey” Jones on a foul. Schack said he was matched twice with Jack Roberts, but the latter would not fight him.
