NEW HOMES IN BRITAIN
WELL OVER 100,000 A YEAR. (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, April 29, In the course of a debate in the House of Commons on the estimates for hie department Air. A. Greenwood, Alinister of Health, said that up to March 31 there had been completed since the Armistice under State aid schemes 939,000 houses, and 520,000 houses had been built without State assistance, so that the total number actually in England and Wales amounted to 1,459.000.
