ENGLISHMEN NAME THEIR CHOICE.

. The New Zealand Cricket Council has received a letter from th- captain of the English team, which recently toured New Zealand, in which Gilligan, Woolley and Duleepsinhji suggest the following list of players as containing most of the probable niembets of the New Zealand team for touring England next year: — Wellington.—Lowry, Blundell, James, Dempster and G-alichan. Auckland.—Mills, Weirj Gillespie, All- ! cott and Matheson.
Canterbury. —Page, Merritt, Talbot and Roberts.
Otago. —Blunt, Dunning and Dickinsou.
Nelson.—Newman.
