GERMANS LOSE THREE RUBBERS.

Rec. 5.5 p.m. London, April 26. In fhe Davis Cup tennis tie the British Isles beat Germany by three rubbers to two, thus remaining in the contest. Britain’s next opponent will be Roumania or Poland. In the first round of singles, as previously reported, Dr. Landmann (Germany) beat Austin 6—3, B— G, 5 i, 4 — 6, 6 —4. The match between Prenn (Germany) and. Lee, unfinished on. the first day, resulted in. a win for Prenn, 6—4, 7—9, 6—3, 6—2. The doubles went to Britain, Collins and Gregory beating Dessart and Kleinsehrotli 6 —-2, 6 —4, 6 —3.
In the second round of singles Austin beat Prenn G —3, G —4, 7 5, and beat Landmann 7 —5, 6—3, 6—2.
AMERICAN TEAM CHOSEN.
Vancouver, April 25.
Joseph Wear, chairman of the American Davie Cup committee, announced that Lott, Doeg, Van Ryn and Allison would represent the United States in the American zone.
