It was during the journey of the Belgian Royal Family to Rome that King Albert rode on the footplate of the engine for some time and chatted with the driver, named Sas tell i. aho told the King that his father had been sentenced 34 years ago for murder and had been in prison ever since. The King of the Belgians promised to intercede in the matter with the King of Italy, and Sastelli has now been informed that his father, who i? 76, has been granted a Royal pardon.
