Such a contretemps occurred at one of them the other evening, when a bride, who was lie n & six o’clock, was half an hour late Her eventual arrival coincided with tha the next bride, who, although advised by telephone to delay, her departure from home, had reached the church, » the appointed hour. The result was th while the first bride, who had arrived almost in tears owing to her anxietj, was being married, the second one was forced to wait with her attendants in a taxi at the church door.
