Mr. J. Duffin is leaving the New Plymouth Harbour Board staff to take up the position of accountant for Mr. J. Swanson, dairy engineer. On behalf of the staff the harbourmaster, Captain W. Waller, in presenting Mr. Duffin with a case of brushes, said he wag voicing the opinion of all members of the staff in saying that Mr. Duffin had earned the respect of all. He had proved an agreeable fellow worker. Mr. G. W. B. Lowson, engineer, said Mr. Duffin had been with them for over three years and the speaker had met few young men of such energy and enterprise.
