DUNEDIN FAREWELLS BYRD
REMEMBRANCE OF ANZAC HEROES

Dunedin, April 24.
A huge crowd farewelled Rear-Admiral Byrd at the railway station to-day, the police having to force a passage for him through the crowd. His carriage was showered with streamers and confetti. En route to the station he stopped at the soldiers’ memorial to lay a wreath in remembrance of Anzac heroes. 7 At a function last night a greenstone tiki was presented to Byrd by the Mayor. '
