BUSINESS MEN ARRESTED

ALLEGATIONS OF CHEATING

Rec. 5.5 p.m. Sydney, April 25. A dramatic raid by detectives on the Australian Federal Life and General Assurance Company was followed by the arrest of three well-known city business men.' Books and documents belonging to the company were seized. Further arrests ars expected. The amount involved is said to be £500,000. Vivian Partridge, Ralph Paul and James Cochrane were charged by warrant with conspiring to cheat and defraud shareholders and policyholders in the company. Bail of £5OO was allowed in each case.
