NEWMAN—ROBERTSON.' The wedding of Harry James Newman, second son of Air. and Airs; H. J. Newman, Opunake, to Mary (Alolly) Roderique, only daughter of Mrs. J. Robertson, Athens Street, Aliramar, Wellington, took place at Wellington on April 16. MUNDY—BULLOCK. . St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Hawera, which was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, was the scene i of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday, April 9, the parties being Lynda ■ Audrey, second daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. R. T. Bullock, Hawera, and William Whitbread, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. 11. S. Mundy, also of Hawera. The Rev. R. E. Evans was the officiating minister, with Air. L. Rowe at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her grandfather, Air. George Taylor, Hawera, was charmingly attired in a picture frock of ivory satin fra'neais and silver lace, made with tight fitting bodice and long, full skirt with uneven hemline. The bridal toilet was completed-with a cap of silver lace with the customary veil and orange blossoms. The bride was attended by her sister, Aliss Rona Bullock, as bridesmaid and little Alargaret Simpson as flower girl, the former wear- , iiia a frock of delphinium blue satin I francais with helmet felt hat, finished | I with long . streamer of velvet ribbon, | I and satin shoes, both oi sunset tone. Both bride and bridesmaid carried armi sprays of hothouse Howers to tone with | their frocks. The flower girl was daint- ; ily attired in an ankle length frilled ' frock of delphinium blue georgette with i sunset georgette poke bonnet, shoes and

basket of flowers. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. H. H. Bramwell, Hawera, as best man.' While the wedding party were in the vestry, a solo was sung by Mr. W. G. Simpson. A reception was held at the Carlton tea rooms, where the guests were received "by the bride’s mother, wearing a French model frock of fine black lace with black bat with Ospreys. She was ! assisted by her daughter, Miss Bullock, in burgundy moire ring velvet with picture hat and shoes of leaf green. Airs. Mundy, mother of the bridegroom, wore a becoming frock of navy blue French crcpe-de-chine and beige georgette with hat eh suite, and Miss Mundy, the bridegroom’s sister, wore printed velvet in autumn tones with black velour ; felt hat. Among the guests were Mr. and Airs. G. Taylor, grandparents of; the bride, and Mr. A. Wallis, grandfather of the bridegroom. Air. and Mrs. Alundy left later by car amid showers of confetti and good wishes, Mrs. Mundy travelling in a frock of burgundy chenille georgette, with close fitting hat, shoes and French coat of the same shade, completed with grey squirrel trimmings and handbag.

FORSTER—KILBRIDE. The* wedding was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Eltham, on Easter Monday, the Rev. Father Hegarty officiating, the parties being Eileen Alice, youngest daughter of the late Mr. P. Kilbride and Airs. Kilbride, Eltham, and Francis Emerson, only son of the late Mr. H. F. Forster and Mrs. Forster, Alorrinsville.

The bride, who was escorted at the church by her brother, was attired in a dainty shell pink frock, early Victorian style, and carried a shower bouquet of pale pink begonias. The bridesmaid, Miss Noreen Fake, niece of th© bride, wore a primrose georgette frock and reseda green hat, and carried a bouquet to tone. Attending the bridegroom wae Mr. E. Kilbride, Matamata, cousin of the bride.

A reception was afterwards held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Fake, Stauners Street, when the toasts were honoured. The bride’© travelling dress was a golden brown chenille velvet with hat and coat to tone. Mr. and Mrs. Forster© home will be in Morrinsviße.
