AMERICAN PROHIBITION
HEARING OF COUNTER-MEASURES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 11.30 p.m. Washington, Jan. 20. For the first time since prohibition became effective a congressional committee has consented to hold hearings on the measures seeking the outright repeal or modification of the -“dry” laws. A House of Representatives judiciary committee will open such hearings on February 12.
