“CURE” FOR TUBERCULOSIS
NO RECOGNITION. OF CLAIM VET. By Telegraph.—Press Assaclatior • - - - Wellington, Last .Night. No official, recognition has yet been given the claim of the- Bev. 12. Ward,' Chureh of the Ascension, Point Chevalier, Auckland, that he has produced' a cure for‘tuberculosis. No definite results, it is stated, have come from a discussion between Mr. Ward arid the medical superintendent of the Pukeora sa'nitoriuih (Dr. G. "McLean) concerning the efficacy of the cure. ' ’’ It is understood that- the Director'-’ General of Health (Dr. T. H. A'. Vai-' intine) has forwarded to the Minister of Health a recommendation that, the suggestion that- Mr. H ard be allowed to remain at the sanitorinm for a period sufficient to. test his treatment, his salary to be paid’by the Heal th/Department during that lime, be not adopted.
