[WHEN MIKE STOLE THE COED WEATHER. j - ' i •■ ’ i Mike the monkey once stole a pail full of something pink c from the plantation near the jungle. Then he saw Prim the parrot g turn quite yellow, while Pepper the Porcupine went blue. e ‘■'lie’s been and stolen the cold weather and cooked it up | i 1 till it’s red!” cried Pepper. ‘'He’s going to freeze us!” And I he flung his Ihmp of ice-cream back at Mike. I You should have seen the monkey jump! His fingers were J going all queer, and he dropped that pail of ‘’cold weather” as ’ if it had been fire. But Pepper was so angry that he emptied | the cold stuff all over Mike, and Mike screamed that he was i changing into an ice /monkey. | ‘’Shake your fists at me!” sobbed Mike. ‘’Perhaps that | will do. some, good!” - g They did not want poor Mike to freeze, so they shook.their A fists at him. And, sure enough, the ice began to melt. “Now you go and throw that cold weather saucepan into j the plantation,” they said, A very draggled Mike did as he g was bid, and he never tried to steal the cold stuff again. ?
