Rec. 5.5 p.m. New York, Dec. 28. The Woodrow Wilson Foundation, under a charter provision permitting its annual award of a prize for the promotion of peace to groups as well as individuals, has announced that an award of 25,000 dollars has been offered to the League of Nations "for ten years’ service in the cause of world peace.” The offer has been tentatively accepted by Sir Henry Drummond, Secretary-General of the League, but the acceptance must be ratified by the council, which meets at Geneva in January. The officers of the foundation hope that the money will be used for the construction of a bronze doorway in honour of the late President Wilson, to be placed at the main entrance of the secretarial building at Lake Geneva. The award will be presented in February, and it is hoped that League officials will come here to accept the gift, as the regulations of the foundation provide that the recipient must come to New York and receive the award.
