VOTING FOR POPULAR MAN
P. J. FLANNAGAN TAKES LEAD. P. J. Flannagan has displaced W. D. Graham at the head of the popular man poll in New Plymouth. The contest is being conducted by the New Plymouth Amateur Athletic Club to collect money for lighting the Pukekura Park sportsground. Votes counted last evening put the candidates in the following order: P. J. Flannagan 1067, W. D. Graham 993, J. McLeod 287, C. H. Weston 281, J. McNeil 186, A. K. Smart 180, W. H. Moyes 180, B. Tippins 176, G. M. Spence 67, P. E. Staiuton 50.
