VALUELESS CHEQUE GIVEN
THREE MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT. By Talegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, .December 18. In the Magistrate’s Court Robert Forbes Reid, alias Robert Mason Russell, was sentenced to imprisonment for three months, the sentences to be concurrent, on each charge of obtaining goods to the value of £lB 18s., and a pair of binoculars, valued at £2 10s., from David Livingstone, by means of a valueless cheque. The goods were obtained at auction.
