COMPENSATION STOPPED
ACTION DURING LAW CASES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, December 18. The Chief Justice, in the Supreme Court, giving judgment in a claim for damages after an accident, took exception to the practice of some employers of stopping compensation payments when an action for damages at common law was commenced. He asked hoy claimants could be expected to live in the meantime. It was not a practice he was going to encourrge.
