MARRIED THIRTY-TWO YEARS.

HUSBAND DRANK AND GAMBLED.

In support of her petition for a docree on the grounds of desertion Beatrice May Robertson (Mr. Alfred Coleman) said she was married to Andrew P. Robertson at Hawera on July 28, 1877. They lived in various Taranaki towns and there were two grown-up children. Her husband, who was addicted to drink and gambling, left her in 1922 as a result of a quarrel with her about gambling. Their life together had not been happy. She had received only £2O maintenance from him and he had disobeyed an order of the court in this connection. She last saw him in Stratford about six weeks ago, when she took proceedings against him.

Joseph Ramsbottom, once a neighbour of the Robertsons, gave evidence about

the separation. A decree nisi was granted to be made absolute after three months, costs on the lowest scale to be paid by the respondent.

FAILED TO SUPPORT SINCE 1925.

Mrs. Hamilton, Junction Road, Inglewood, said she was married . on March 4, 1914, at Auckland. They lived in various towns, including Waitara and Hawera. There were four children. Until they arrived in Rotorua in 1925 her husband maintained the family, but since the birth of the last child in September, 1925, he had failed to support them and she had not seen him. His Honour said hb would not make a decree until he saw the marriage certificate, which Mrs. Hamilton had left at homo by, mistake. MISCELLANEOUS APPLICATIONS. A. T. Tomlinson (Mr. A. Stewart) was granted a decree nisi absolute against Mary J. Tomlinson. A similar order was made on the application of Ruby Marie Curtis (Mr. Stewart) against Harold Curtis. Custody of the children was granted in both cases. His Honour granted an order dismissing a petition for permanent maintenance in the case of the late Frederick C. Emeny (Mr. A. A. Bennett) v.
