ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH FAIR

SUCCESSFUL SALE OF WORK HELD

Success attended the efforts of the St. Andrew’s Ladies’ Sewing Circle in their endeavour to raise funds to purchase crockery for the church when they held a combined mart and sale of work in St. Andrew’s Hall, New Plymouth, yesterday. The stalls Avere well stocked and generous patronage enabled the goods to be disposed of. During the afternoon a musical programme was. greatly appreciated. Those who contributed items were Mesdain.es Shrimpton (pianoforte solo), P. C. Davie (song), Nisbet Smith and Brodie (duet', Mrs. Shrimpton playing the accompaniment for the last item.

The following stall-holders were assisted by many willing helpers: —Circle stall, Mesdames Smillie and Cassie; fancy stall, Mesdames Blair, Wilson and Brown; produce stall, Mesdames Linn and. Sutton; sweet stall, Mrs. Boon; cake stall, Mesdames -Kerr, ■ Shrimpton and Turner; flower stall, Mrs. Rogers; afternoon tea, Mesdames Meuli, Malcom and helpers. - •
