WEST END SCORE NARROW WIN.

SPLENDID BOWLING AT FITZROY.

The Gilmour Cup bowling competition was continued yesterday in fine weather. A feature of the games was the win of West End against Fitzroy, at the Fitzroy green. When the last head of the last rink was being played West End lay one up, but when the Fitzroy skip delivered his last bowl Fitzroy were lying four up on the head. The West End skip played a magnificent shot with his last bowl and when he rolled in for the shot there was a salvo of cheers. Throughout the afternoon the play had been remarkably good, and it was a fitting finale to a great match. Following are the scores:— W.E. F.
