DAIRY PRODUCE AND WOOL. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association. • Palmerston N., Nov. 21. At a meeting of the Maseey Agricultural College Council Professor Percn reported that at the request of the wool research committee fleeces of a distinct type had been selected from various, flocks for dispatch to the British Woollen and Worsted Association’s laboratories at Leeds. These will be submitted to spinning tests for reports on the commercial value of the various types. Professor Riddet, Director of the Dairy Research Institute, reported that research work and cheese investigations had been' in progress since the beginning of Septenfter. Last year’s work on the openness of cheese was being continued, in addition to experiments connected with the factors influencing the maturity of cheese. Additional funds had just recently been made available for other lines of dairy research work, and arrangements had been made for experiments in the manufacture of butter and the factors affecting the purity of milk, which would be started in the immediate' future.
