Favoured with a cool evening the hall was packed. The door takings were about £24, a record for a. dance in the hall. Coburn’s orchestra supplied the music and the glassy floor, made a tip top combination. The supper arrangements were in the capable hands of Mesdames Corbett, F. Sole and Benny. Several extras were played by the Misses Julian (2), L. Gilhooly and A. Duggan. The M.C. was Mr. Frank Sole, who kept things going merrily. Euchre was provided for the prizes went to Mr. H. Woodward (men’s) and. Mrs. F. Sole (ladies’). The guessing competition (number of peas in a bottle) was won by Mr. J. Sole. The winners of the novelty dances were: Monte Carlo, Mr. W. Fleming and Miss A. Corbett; lucky spot, Mr. John Duggan and Miss Brain. The committee responsible were: Mr. C. W. Revell (secretary and chairman), Sole Bros. (3) and W. Benny.
