MERGED WITH FARMERS' UNION. CUI’S AND TROPHIES HANDED OVER After nearly 20 years of useful work that is now. to a great extent .reflected in the appearance of excellent farms throughout the district, the Toko Settlers’ Association has gone out of existence, and the cups, trophies and cash iu hand have been transferred to the Toko Farmers’ Union. The ceremony of handing over the association’s assets took place on Tuesday evening, members of the association having come to the conclusion that it was useless for the two organisations to remain in existence ami function within the same district. In future the various root crop, fodder crop, butter-fat and other competitions, previously conducted with so much success bv the association, will’ be controlled by the Farmers’ Union on the same general lines of progressive development.
