LOAN PROPOSALS REJECTED

GREYMOUTH RATEPAYERS’ POLL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night. Ratepayers of Greymouth to-day rejected' proposals by the borough council to raise loans totalling £'102,500. The main item was £90,300 for sewerage in a newly-settled part of the borough and for additional waterworks. The voting on this proposal was 250 for and 482 against with 34 informal votes. The voting was similar, on other issues regarding drainage, kerbing and channeling, extra plant and domain improvement.
