MINISTER IN NEW PLYMOUTH
VISIT OF HON. DE LA PERRELLE. The Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. de la Perrelle, reached New Plymouth by car from Wanganui on Saturday night and stayed at the • Criterion Hotel. °He was welcomed by the Mayor (Mr. H. V. S. Griffiths). The party includes Mr. P. J. Kelleher, assistant under-secretary of Internal Affairs, Mr. E. N. G. Poulton, private secretary, and the Minister’s sister, Mrs. J. Niven, Dunedin, and his cousin, Miss McLean. On Saturday night the Minister and Mr. Kelleher, accompanied by the Mayor, attended the boxing tournament as the guests of the Taranaki Boxing Association; Yesterday • morning Mr. Perrelle visited various scenic attractions about New Plymouth and in the afternoon he went to the North Egmont mountain house. He* will motor to Wellington today.
