SMASH IN DUNEDIN STREET. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. As the result of a collision between a motor-cycle and a motor-car Ute last night Ernest Paul Ayers, a married man 34 years of age, who was pillion riding on the motor-cycle, was thrown against the side of the car and received such severe head injuries that he expired in the hospital a few hours later. The driver of the motor-cycle was not injured. An inquest was opened this afternoon before the coroner (Mr. H. W. Bundle, S.M.), and after evidence of identification and medical evidence had been taken it was adjourned sine die. t
