YOUNG MAN’S CONDITION SERIOUS By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. A single man named J. F. Melvin, aged 22, is in the Christchurch hospital with a fractured right leg and cuts on the hands and face, as the result of the collision of his motor-cycle with a motor-truck on the main south road near Templeton this afternoon. Melvin is suffering from shock and his general condition is reported as fairly serious. A motor-car ’with a punctured tyre was drawn up on the side of the road, and the collision occurred when both the truck and the motor-truck swerved to avoid it.
