TWO PRINCES MAKE FLIGHTS

TRANSPORT TO APPOINTMENTS. (British Official Wireless). Rugby, Oct. 10. The King’s eldest and youngest sons, the Prince of Wales and Prince George, ma': separate journeys by air to Yorkshire to-day. The Prince of Wales ft Hendon by aeroplane for Hartwood, near Leeds, to attend the funeral of the Earl of Harewoo’d. The aeroplane was piloted by Fielden, tho Prince’s personal pilot. Prince George left the Prince of Wales’ private landing ground at Windsor’ in a service aeroplane piloted by Squadron-Leader Don and flew to Hull to open the municipal aerodrome. The aerodrome is one of tho air stations in the chain being formed in the north of England by a private company. Prince George said he had decided to increase his knowledge of modern methods of transport by undertaking the journey by air. It had been a most enjoyable experience and one which he hoped to repeat when visiting other parts of the country. The evolution of air transport was amazing, and it was apparent to all that in future no city or town would-be ble to hold its own without adequate facilities for aircraft.
