The Sydney-Perth air race finished yesterday afternoon in boisterous weather. Heath arrived first, but computations of times taken are not yet complete. It is forecasted that Miller will win the £lOOO first prize for the handicap, and Major De Haviland £3OO foi the fastest time. The order in which the planes arrived at Perth was Heath, Murray, Bardsley. The pilots all report that the flight from Tammin was extremely rough. When the fliers left Kalgoorlie yesterday juorning on the last day’s flight to Perth an icy wind was blowing against them and made the going heavy. All planes reached Tammin except Pratt’s Gipsy Moth which, when flying low near Booiibee, was caught by a gust and driven against a tree. The pilot and a passenger named James were injured and the machine badly damaged.
