NOTES FROM URENUI. , SUCCESSFUL OLD-TIME DANCE. . The complimentary old-timers’ dance held in the Urenui. hall on Thursday evening in honour of the ladies who assisted at the recent R.S.A. ball, was an unqualified success. The organisation of the secretaries, Messrs. W. Scott and B. Gaihsfort, leaving nothing to be desired. Music was provided in true oldtimers’ style by Mrs. Potter (piano) and Mr. Hellier (violin), with extras by Mr. W. Dowman (accordeon). The momentary revival of the old days* was enjoyed by the large number present as the intricacies of the larinka, bon ton, and barn dance were participated in. The floor was in excellent order for dansing and an enjoyable time was spent by all. Amongst the dancers were visitors from New Plymouth, Waitara, Uruti and surrounding districts. The catering arrangements were carried out by th© R.S.A. committee in their usual capable manner and the M.’sC., Messrs. C. Rumba! and G. W. §kelton, ensured a good time for all. ’ '
